Gadoh Launch and Screening

Gadoh, a feature film directed by Brenda Danker and Namron, was launched to a full house last Friday night at HELP University College. Officiated by Dr Mohd Zaid Ibrahim, the founder of .my Future Foundation, the launch was also graced by a SUHAKAM Human Rights Commisioner, Dr Siva Subramaniam.

The film’s premiere screening saw a turnout of about 300 audiences for both the public screenings at 5pm and 8pm. The discussion after the screenings was lively and spot-on with a range of views and opinions came from college students, parents, teachers and fellow bloggers who shared their different experiences and views about racism in Malaysia.

KOMAS gave out DVD copies of the film alongside Aku Bangsa Malaysia button badges and stickers to the audiences, marking the start of a nationwide campaign against discrimination of race and ethnicity.

Gadoh received many encouraging response and reviews from the audience that night.

Due to overwhelming demand, GADOH will be re-screened in June! We hope this will be the start of many screenings to come we plan to have throughout Malaysia.
